Summer History Camp
Commonwealth School 151 Commonwealth Avenue
Boston, MA 02116
Have you ever wanted to immerse yourself in the history of Boston, the hub of the solar system? Our way of teaching history “with a wink,” at the locations where major events actually happened, makes the subject jump to life. Using humor, theatrical storytelling, and narrative formulas, we have a unique way of engaging students outside of the traditional classroom setting. With the whole city of Boston as our classroom, history has never been so fun! This 10-day summer camp for high school students is designed to accomplish three major goals.
Boston History Company Provides Your Guide to Greater Boston
Welcome to Boston History Company! (Previously Cambridge Historical Tours) Thank you for considering us for your Greater Boston tour experience! We take pride in having a diverse staff of exceptional guides, many of whom have backgrounds in performance, history and the arts, and we take pride in curating tour experiences for all interests and backgrounds. We strive to provide a more approachable experience, limiting our public tour groups to 25 guests per guide. If, however, you are seeking an even more intimate tour experience, scheduled at your leisure and tailored to your interests, private tours are certainly the way to go. Public Tours are priced for the budget-conscious traveler who does not mind sharing their guide with other tour groups. Tours are scheduled and run at set times. Private Tours are tours for YOUR GROUP ONLY and can be arranged for any time of day between 8:00am and 8:30pm. We also offer “Step-On” Tours. This is when our guides hop onto your bus, or into your car, and narrate the ride. We do not own or operate any vehicles, and are a guide service only, but our guides are the best in the business, and will make your journey special. Our preferred partners for booking vehicles are LTI and Yankee Bus Company, and we are happy to provide contacts if you reach out to us directly.”
